The Ripper

Tones
Select a tone for the brush

Brushes

Select a brush shape

Brush Presets
Quick Preset 1
Quick Preset 2
Quick Preset 3

Brush Size
Drag the slider to resize the brush

Palette

Choose a colour from the palette.


Click on the little arrow to load an image for a palette.
Tip: you can open any image.


Select Colour
Make Colour Darker
Normal Colour
Make Colour Lighter


Invert Tone
Respect black ink (won't draw over black)
Respect mask of underlying image while drawing
(won't draw over masked areas)



Image
Resize
Colour Mask (mask out/remove all current colour)
Crop Image
Clear to white
Clear to transparent


Black and White

Drag the slider and click the button to apply
This converts the selected image into black and white, and you can adjust the amount for different effects.


Toonerize
Drag the slider and click the button to apply
This converts the image into a cartoon-like image.

To cancel a B&W or Toonerize preview, simply exit the ripper by clicking on the select object button.

Adding your own tones:
Find the folders marked "Tones" and "Brushes" in the Library
(Usually c:\program files\zenratai\mangamaker\library)
Save PNG format files there
Next time MangaMaker is loaded the new brushes will appear

Adding your own palette images:
Find the folder marked "_swatches" in the library.
Add your own images there.
(Tip: You can load a photo or rendered manga page to grab the colours)
