Angel Tears

An angel once appeared to me
And lit a candle near a tree
In the dark I saw the light
And beheld the most wondrous sight

"It's beautiful!" I had to shout
I wondered what it was about
"This amazing gift, is it for me?"
Had I finally found the key?

The angel's eye's at once lit up
The gift lay gently in a cup
My trembling hand reached out to touch
This cup, this gift I want so much

Can you taste love? The angel smiled
Can you taste a life beguiled?
The angel passed the cup to me
Even tho I couldn't see
I tasted the angel's words to me

You are not what you see
Take my hand and don't fear
Like the flickering candle's scree
The angel held the falling tear
There's no more you need endure
