When we learned philosophy we thought of god as being all existence.

When we built machines we thought of god as being a giant machine.

When we designed objects to suit our needs we thought of god as a designer.

When we created laborotories we thought of existence as a dream, an experiment.

When we built computers we thought of existence as a giant simulation.

When we stop thinking of what existence is, and what it is not, then we become closer to it.
